Some 76.5 million [26% of adults] Americans suffer from chronic pain—more than diabetes, heart disease and cancer combined.
Chronic pain is defined lasting more than 6 months.
People over 65 are the least likely to report chronic pain, while those aged 45 to 64 are most likely.
More women than men, more whites than blacks.
Low-back pain is most common. Then headaches, migraines and neck pain.
Chronic pain costs $100 billion a year for care, lost income and reduced productivity.

Research in Using Hypnotherapy for Work Stress

Researchers stressed that people who are under stress can benefit from hypnotherapy and other such treatments to overcome their problems. It has also been noted that employers need to provide employees with more support and understanding.
